I got this book because it was free.. I dont usually read erotica or even romantica.. This is my first Bella Andre book but Ill be looking into more..

I really liked Candy and Charlie. I thought it was very cute in the beginning how they both had experiences with peoples misguided notions about their profession.. You could tell he was more the physical type in his writing and she was more emotional (hello- shes a woman) From the very beginning I thought that after the HEA they could write as a team and have it all.. But Im getting ahead of myself.. I liked how they met- that was cute. I liked how much thought he put into the lessons.. I thought he was the more emotional person and there was a couple times I wanted to scream at Candy.. I like how Candy had some experience but wasnt wrote to be promiscuous and as for the other reviewers who object to tmi about Charlies past, all I can say is they must have been reading too much into or something because it was literally one sentence and it didnt come right out and say he had a lot of threesomes(although the part about when he lost his virginity was a head-scratcher) but I wasnt offended or anything about his past.. But what I didnt like was the fact that I was more interested in the story Candy was writing to enter the contest than their actual story.. I had to catch myself numerous times from skimming through until the next entry of her story.. Also I didnt like how their conflict was building up for half of the story and then when it came out it was a dud.. I was expecting more.. More emotion, more anger, more fireworks, just more.. It ended up fizzling.. I was very disappointed in that..
All in all this was a pretty good book.

I liked everything about this book; including both characters, the story line and the added writings of the main characters. I loved the humor in it . . . as a matter of fact I laughed out loud several times. If a book can give me a good story line, romance, erotic verbiage, humor and great characters (not necessarily in that order) what else could a reader of this genre want or need? Of the entire erotic/erotica books that I have read, this is probably my favorite story to date because of my criteria of such subject matter. This includes writers who are rated at the top of the erotica or erotic theme; I've read at least 100 stories to date so I have quite a few to compare this book too.

Ecstasy (A Contemporary Romance) was my first Bella Andre read; there will be many more until I've read them all. The price of "free" lead me to this author, I would have gladly paid the going rate for this type of book. I'm so glad it was an offering by Bella or at that price. I'll be purchasing every one of her other books to enjoy.
If you are a fan of Bella Andre I would definitely say get this book, you really can't beat FREE. That being said as a fan of Andre I wouldn't categorize this as one of her strongest books. I liked the premise of the story and for those looking for a read on the spicier side Ecstasy definitely has it. I found it interesting taking a look inside the writing side of erotica authors, and it also had the added benefit of tons of sex as you really get two stories in one, that of the characters and that of the stories the characters are writing. However I really felt the conflict between the main characters was rather weak and I personally couldn't understand what the big deal was. Thankfully however Andre doesn't drag out the "conflict" and there isn't one of those let's break up because of this moments. Overall an enjoyable read. Also note that while the book is a decent length the kindle edition finishes at around 82% with the rest of the book dedicated to inserts of Bella Andre's other novels. Not a bad thing but just something I like to know before purchasing a book. Enjoy!
I've read many of Bella Andre's books, and this one did not disappoint. Story moves fast, and boy, the steam is coming out of my kindle! Story is about Charlie who is a seasoned erotica writer and Candy, who is a writer who is just starting out in the genre. Charlie has become quite famous and successful, yet he has a difficult time finding a good girl, they are usually interested in his money, or think he is a perv for his line of work. Candy was a young writer with very big aspirations. She wanted to become a good erotic writer so she attends her first erotic writer's conference where she literally runs into Charlie. Charlie was very attracted to Candy, ever since she was laying on top of him. He offered to show her around the conference. While hanging out, he discovers that not only is he attacted to her, but he wants to get to know her better.

During the conference, he was avoiding this woman so he told everyone that Candace was his apprentice this year. He would show her the ropes per se. They start their lessons soon enough and find themselves involved physically, for the sake or "research" and are soon hooked. They both love being together, yet none of them are brave enough to discuss feelings. In the meantime, Candy gets inspired and begins to write a new book based on her experiences with Charlie. They both agreed to keep everything among themselves so she felt she was betraying him. Will he find out about her book? Can they both really be in love or lust? That is for the reader to find out....

Steamy scenes were plenty and also very hot! Characters were likeable and I found this book enjoyable, although Game for love continues to be my favorite book from Ms. Andre!
